Studio Self-Made
Last updated: 30 July 2026
Studio Self-Made is a trading name of Redfern Studios Ltd. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Studio Self-Made.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of studioselfmade.com. By using the website, you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.
Our full company details are in section 16. Contact: hello@studioselfmade.com.
2. What this website is for
The website describes who we are and what we do, and lets you contact us or apply to our programmes. It's provided free of charge, for information.
Nothing on it is an offer to enter into a contract, and nothing on it is professional, legal, financial or business advice you should rely on without taking your own advice.
3. Programme information and applications
Programme details on this website - including dates, locations, content, eligibility criteria and the number of places available - are indicative and may change. Our programmes are frequently commissioned or funded by third parties, and may be altered, postponed or withdrawn where those arrangements change.
Submitting an application doesn't guarantee a place. Applications are handled through Youform and are subject to Youform's terms as well as ours. Selection decisions are ours and are final, although we'll explain the basis for a decision if you ask.
Where you're offered a place, separate participant terms will apply to that programme. Those terms take precedence over these where the two differ.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the website unlawfully, or for any fraudulent or harmful purpose
Submit false, misleading or impersonating information through any form
Upload or transmit anything containing malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its underlying systems
Scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data from the site
Use the site or its contact routes to send unsolicited marketing
Do anything that damages or disrupts the site, or degrades it for other users
We may withdraw or restrict your access, and refuse to consider submissions from you, if you breach this section.
5. What you send us
You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of anything you submit, and you must have the right to submit it.
Where you send us material as part of an enquiry or application, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to assess and administer that enquiry or application. We won't publish it, use it in marketing, or share it beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy without your agreement.
Please don't send us confidential or commercially sensitive information through the website. Ideas, concepts and business propositions sent to us unsolicited aren't treated as confidential, and we may work on similar things independently. If you need to share something in confidence, ask us first, and we'll put a suitable agreement in place.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website - text, graphics, logos, images, video, layout and design - is owned by us or used under licence, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
"Studio Self-Made" and our logo are our trade marks. You may not use them without our written permission.
You may view, download and print pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish or commercially exploit any part of the website without our written permission.
Our programme curriculum, methodology, frameworks and delivery materials are our intellectual property. Access to any of it through a programme doesn't transfer any rights in it to you, or to any organisation you represent.
7. Photography, film and case studies
Some of our web content features participants from previous programmes, published with their consent. If you appear in something on this website and want it removed, email hello@studioselfmade.com and we'll remove it as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the website available, but we don't guarantee it. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, and we're not liable if it's unavailable at any time.
9. Third-party links
The website may link to third-party sites, including funders, commissioners, partners and Youform. We don't control those sites, don't endorse their content, and aren't responsible for anything on them or for how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
10. Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully. It sets a limit on the amount we can be required to pay you if something goes wrong.
10.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
death or personal injury caused by our negligence
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded
10.2 This website is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis. We give no warranty that its content is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or viruses.
10.3 We're not liable to you for any:
loss of profit, revenue, business or anticipated savings
loss or corruption of data
business interruption
loss of opportunity, contract or goodwill
indirect or consequential loss of any kind
arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from your reliance on anything published on it.
10.4 Our total liability to you in connection with this website - whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise - is limited in aggregate to £100 (one hundred pounds).
10.5 If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. You can find out more about your rights from Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.
10.6 This section applies to your use of this website only. If you take part in one of our programmes, separate participant terms will govern that programme and will contain their own liability provisions.
11. Data protection
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms at any time. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, so please check it periodically.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
14. General
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are between you and us; no one else has any right to enforce them.
15. Complaints and contact
Email hello@studioselfmade.com. We'll acknowledge within 5 working days and respond in full within 20 working days.
